Artificial Nail Technician Course
This is a 200-hour online Artificial Nail Technician course designed to provide students with focused training in artificial nail services. Upon completion of the program, students will be confident in applying regular and French sculpted nails using Gel and Acrylic, as well as Color Gel and Color Acrylic.
Students will also learn Gel and Acrylic refills, repairs, re-growth techniques, proper use of the electric file, and Nail Art.
Course Outline
The course is based on 200 hours of combined theory and practical training.
This course teaches the fundamentals of nail technology, including artificial nail services using Gel and Acrylic, filing techniques using an Electric File, and natural nail treatments for the hands and feet (manicure and pedicure). Nail Art is also included.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive an Artificial Technician Diploma, as well as your stamped/sealed official transcripts.
You will perform learned procedures on the Nail Trainer Hand. Once you have completed your sets, simply mail the assignment to our Mirage Spa Education office for grading. The assignment will be assessed and a video will be sent to you with your evaluation, on what areas need improvement and what you have excelled in.

Theory Component
The theory component is based on 200 hours of theory and practical instruction, with students required to complete written exams throughout the course, including multiple-choice exams and a final examination.
To graduate, students must complete a pre-determined number of nail sets, successfully pass all required exams, and complete the final assessment. Students may take up to nine (9) months to complete the course.
NOTE: Manicures and pedicures are not included in this course. Students wishing to offer natural nail services should enroll in the Fully Qualified Nail Technician course.

The Artificial Nail Technician program is delivered in five (5) modules:
Learn the fundamentals of tip application and temporary nail sets. This module covers proper tip selection, blending techniques, and creating temporary nail enhancements.
Master the art of gel nail application. Learn proper gel application techniques, curing methods, and creating beautiful gel nail enhancements.
Develop expertise in acrylic nail application. Learn proper mixing ratios, application techniques, and finishing methods for professional acrylic enhancements.
Learn safe and effective use of electric files. Master filing techniques, bit selection, and proper maintenance of electric file equipment.
Explore creative nail art techniques including designs, patterns, and decorative elements. Complete final examinations and assessments to demonstrate your mastery of all course content.
